The start point for each route is only a suggestion – you can always choose somewhere else on the route to start. Most circular routes can be followed in either direction but check the route notes in case there is a reason for doing it as suggested.

Suggested cycle routes
30km – Flat – Easy
An easy ride along the coastal bike path. There are two very short hills, but this is about as flat as you will get around here. The Hub Cafe at the turnaround point in Rhyl is a great place to refuel.
You can start/finish in Rhyl if you prefer. Starting from Llandudno adds a couple more KM and a hill past the Little Orme.
46km – A couple of hills – Fairly easy
A variation on the Colwyn Bay – Rhyl return route. A little bit tougher but still fairly easy ride. Starts on the road from Llandudno, with a fairly steep hill past the Little Orme. Then along the coastal bike path, where you will encounter two very short hills.
The Hub Cafe at the turnaround point in Rhyl is a great place to refuel.
You can start/finish in Rhyl if you prefer.
25km – Flat – Easy
This route follows the coastal cycle path, although some is on roads. It is very flat all the way.
Head down to the promenade at Llanfairfechan to visit the café (although it may be closed in the winter).

9km – Steep in places – Moderate
A short but hilly route.
Marine Drive (around the Great Orme) is one-way (anti-clockwise) until near the end at Llys Helig Drive, but beware that cars have been known to drive the wrong way round.
14km – Hilly – Fairly tough
A longer and tougher variation of the Great Orme loop.

20km – A couple of climbs – Easy
Fairly flat route with a mixture of urban, rural and coastal roads.
100km – Very hilly – Fairly tough
Some challenging climbs but amazing scenery and plenty of stop off points.

Surf Snowdonia to Betws y Coed
Bryn y Maen, Holland Arms, Llanrwst, Betws y Coed and back via Dolgarrog
60km – Plenty of climbing at first but a great route.
Take care on the Black Cat Roundabout and the decent into Llanrwst.
