Sunday morning dawned with news of a change of route for the Anglesey Half Marathon owing to a traffic diversion over Menai Bridge and a fallen tree on the course.
The new 13.7 mile route had 1200ft of climbing, definitely more challenging than the intended course.
Robin Sandham was the first GOG home in 1.48.10. He was followed by Merf Jones in 1.51.53 and Rob Stewart 2.15.49.
Representing the GOG ladies Sarah Gallacher ran well to finish in 1.57.36. Ceri Hughes clocked 2.19.17.
The 10km was not affected by the altered route and the only GOG to take a podium was Rhian Roxburgh who finished in 42.21. Emer Sandham was next home in 48.21, followed by Sarah Massey 57.34, Non Roberts 1.01.26, Cheryl Stewart 1.02.47, Sarah Marriot 1.05.34 and Deborah Robinson 1.14.14.
The males were represented by Paul Garstang who crossed the line in 46.34, followed by Andrew Roberts 47.05 and John Farrell 49.04.
