Pipe Dream 2018 and Jones Crisps Anglesey 10 km & Half Marathon

Running was the order of the weekend for GOG Triathletes.
On Saturday Gavin Roberts had a fine start to his season, finishing Dolgarrog’s tough Pipe Dream Fell race in 39.42 and 3rd overall.
Over on Anglesey Always Aim High were running the Jones Crisps 10km and Half Marathon road races.
Gavin Roberts ran the 10km to shakeout his legs after Pipe Dream and finished in 4th place overall in 37.23, twenty seconds later Jon Seymour crossed the line in 5th place recording a 10km PB of 37.46. Next home was Simon Baldwin in 44.21, Andrew Roberts, 47.35, Joshua White 48.27 and Sion Jones 54.25. The combined efforts of the GOGs earned the men the title of first placed team. The ladies 10km team comprised of Nan Roberts who finished in 59.27, Margaret Pennington 1.01.51 and Cheryl Stewart 1.06.31.
In the Half Marathon Daragh Reynolds was the first GOG to finish in a very respectable 22nd place overall in 1.24.25. Next home was Andy Jones recording a consistently good time of 1.30. He was followed by Neil Vickers Harris 1.39.22, Bleddyn Evans 1.47.12, Merf Jones 1.50.50 and John Farrell 2.12.52.
Sasha Jones finished first for the GOG ladies in 85th place in 1.51.05. She was followed by Michelle Farrell in 2.00.43, Sarah Marriot 2.13.18, Sarah Massey 2.13.53. Celia Free 2.15.47, Geri Evans 2.18.41 and Lucy Bradley 2.37.51.
