Rhyl10, Wrexham Half and Activators Training

Following on from record numbers of GOG Triathletes running the Nick Beer race in Llandudno last week, the club had another busy weekend with members competing in local events and a group taking part in the first Welsh Triathlon Community Activators Training delivered by British Triathlon Tutor and local Coach Rhian Roxburgh.
The Run Wales Rhyl10 took place on Saturday, the flat course promised fast times and British Masters 10 Mile Road Running Championship medals. Simon Cole claimed both finishing in second place overall in 54.13, and first in the V35 British Masters Championship. Also taking part was Andrew Roberts who posted 1.16.58 and Non Roberts 1.40.51.
On Sunday members travelled to Wrexham for the Village Bakery Half Marathon. First home for the GOGs was Andy Jones in 1.30.11, he was followed by Neil Vickers Harris in 1.42.59. Llinos Davies recorded a half marathon PB finishing in 2.04.29. She was followed by Sarah Massey 2.15.02, Sarah Marriot 2.19.21 and Celia Free 2.23.59.
